My husband and I stopped at this church's parking lot- on a Monday at 3pm by the way, during no services nor were there cars in the parking lot- on our way to our mechanic. My husband was finishing up a work phone call, and couldn't get off the phone before we would arrive at our mechanic's. We were parked for no longer than 60 seconds when a gentleman came over to our vehicle and angrily asked "Why are you here?" To which my husband replied, "Sir I'm on the phone...?" The gentleman then proceeded to tell us to come on Sunday at 9am if we wanted to park. I replied to the man "well sir, we really want to attend your church now!" To which he responded that he knew we weren't going to anyways.

I've been a Christian my whole life and I do attend church and I could not believe the way this man treated us- for all he knew we could have stopped because we got an urgent phone call that one of our parents had a heart attack or something of that nature. What the heck!!

I came in here to post a review on how I was just treated by a man, I'm assuming a pastor or minister of the church, when I saw the previous review. I had pulled off Greenfield to respond to some rather urgent text messages that came in on my ride home from work on a Sunday evening. It was completely dark at 6pm, as it's Nov. All of a sudden, a car pulls up next to me and stops. As a women, I have to stay aware and careful of my environment, so I pulled up and away from the car since I had no idea who would be stopping next to me and didn't recognize the car, but parked again, as I was not done with my conversation. At this point the other car swings around and parks in front of me to block my path/leaving. I was obviously concerned and was ready to reverse when an older man jumps out of the car and starts yelling at me, "what am I doing parked here?!" And that I, "need to leave!" He proceeded to beret me for not wanting to talk to him, a stranger in a dark parking lot, and acted as if I was doing something wrong by sitting in my car. He proceeded to question if I went to church that day, asked why I didn't pull in the bar parking lot instead, questioned my faith, then yell at me that church is for God not the public, and continued to yell at me that maybe I should talk to God if I have to have conversations on the way home. What the....?! Is this guy for real?! It was like a crazy weird joke, how he was acting. So over the top, pacing back and forth. This man is no representation of any church I would ever attend and clearly his actions were not an isolated incident (based on the previous review). He also told me he was calling the police on me......for sitting in a parking lot, in my car, while it was running, for maybe 5 minutes, max. This is the "christian" way to act?! Wow! Sir, maybe you should reevaluate how you treat others, you know, maybe pray on it. Actually, you should probably just find another line of work because you're clearly not right for the one you're in.
